Used Truck Sales Manager

Purpose/Description:

To develop and grow TransWestern Truck Centre's Used Trucks sales volume and profitability.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Use all reasonable methods of prospecting for Used truck customers on a daily basis, via electronically, phone and personal contact

  2. Assist customers in specifying proper components for trucks in their particular applications

  3. Serve as primary representative of TransWestern Used Trucks to customers responding promptly to requests for assistance and information

  4. Develop relationships with wholesale and auction representatives to help facilitate selling of Used Trucks

  5. Proper sales delivery process to include proper completion of paperwork, walk-around and review of equipment, introduction to pertinent dealership personnel, proper follow-up after the sale is completed

  6. Knowledge and experience in Used heavy truck equipment valuation

  7. Perform all other duties as assigned

  1. Self-motivated; ability to work independently to achieve objectives

  2. Thorough knowledge of the key drivers of purchase decisions in the trucking industry.

  3. Ability to create relevant and engaging customer proposals that are of value to both the Company and the customer, specifically related to profitability

  4. Strong negotiation skills

  5. Relationship builder

  6. Strong closing skills; ability to bring sales to a close in a timely manner

  7. Ability to travel in the territory assigned

 

Preferred but not Mandatory Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience.

  2. 5 years' experience in selling capital equipment with account management experience

  3. A background in sales, parts, service, or schooling with heavy to medium duty trucks. Would consider other candidates based on background and experience. We will train

  4. Commercial Driver License is a plus or must be willing to obtain
